So, what if Kyle gets infected and "saving the world" actually means spreading a version of the virus that does not turn humans into mindless predators, but actually brings them onto a new level of evolution? I mean, just try to think "Blade" or "Resident Evil", where a victim of the vampire/zombie virus is able to somehow adapt to the virus and maybe even changes the virus itself. Well, maybe the "gates of death" do not mean that you have to die, but that you are REBORN in a way. The doctor who sends you to inspect the old paintings and to get the mask apparently thought that this "chosen" person would have to die and it is mentioned that "he got it wrong". There seems to be this prophecy that The Mother apparently wants to be fulfilled, which talks about someone "going through the gates of death" or something like this. Have a dandy day.Īs I get it, the "Volatile" ending kind of makes sense. The Following, however, left me hating the developers for their crap.Īny of you have your own views? Please comment below and we can chat. Thanks so much for those 15 hours I'll never get back.Īgain I loved the previous game, it was a lot of fun and I'll never regret playing the original. Really? Everyone dies and you're now a monster? Great ending. Cool, but still, now the player is a zombie, and the developers decided to keep it that way. As you fight, you gain more abilities, like health regeneration, faster running, and then, using your hands to kill the Mother in a 1v1. Satisfying fight? Pretty good, but before then, she gives you the vial, which- you'll never guess- turns you into a Volatile or something like that, still not sure. Option 2 gives us the ability to fight the Mother. The player MUST live out their days: cripple them but don't kill them! That's what we have The Walking Dead for! So on this situation: You die and everyone dies. This means that the player dies along with the Mother who you only really met just then for real. Okay, so for option 1, we have the option where you sacrifice yourself for 'The better good' in which all your friends in The Tower and in The Following expansion die (you set off a nuke). Driving was so much fun, as was the new Nightmare mode- but the ending(s)! Don't get me wrong, I loved the gameplay. However, when I finally put in the fifteen hours of gameplay to beat The Following, I was left unsatisfied and disappointed. So when we learned that there would be a map four times bigger than the slums and old town put together, we were so excited. The ending left me satisfied enough with Rais's fate, and left us with a decent cliff hanger. Dying Light '1', as I will call it, had a decent story mixed with great gameplay. Those aspects are the same for The Following: All accept one. Okay so before I start my rant, I would like to say: SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERSĭying Light was (and still is) a very fun game to play it had a great story, the gameplay was so much fun, and the multiplayer was amazing.
